>Carlo Quinonez is a doctoral candidate in
the Biology department at Caltech. His research focuses
on the design, synthesis and evaluation of novel enzyme-activated
contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging. Prior
to attending Caltech, Mr. Quinonez started a scientific
consulting firm, Science and Research Automation, designing
and building custom electronics and software to aid
scientists in the course of their research. Carlo attended
Larta University, an entrepreneurship program for high
tech startups, and has taken course work in management
of technology and innovation. He graduated from SDSU
in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
In 1999, he received a Masters of Science degree in
Biology from the Caltech. He expects to receive a Ph.D.
in Biology from Caltech in 2002.
