Space Generation

Space Generation is creating the next generation of space leaders through compelling worldwide events and projects.

>Loretta Hidalgo has a Masters degree in Biology from Caltech and a Bachelors degree in Biology form Stanford. Between degrees she interned at NASA in the Astronaut office, worked on the International Space Station, and investigated plant growth on Mars. She is the co-creator of Yuri's Night, the World Party for Space and is the North American Representative to the Space Generation Advisory Council. Her travels have taken her around the world; in Africa she spoke to children about science, space and sustainable development; in the Arctic she worked with NASA to look at life in extreme environments; in Chile she studied Space Tourism with the International Space University. She is passionate about bringing together people who want to use space to make a difference for the planet and is looking forward to her retirement cruise to the rings of Saturn.

>Karen Lau has taken an eclectic approach to pursuing a career in advertising. Ever since she was 13, she knew she wanted to combine fun with work. She worked briefly as an art director after graduating from Boston University's mass communication program. Lau followed this by working as designer at Grey Advertising NY. She found the experience so rewarding that she decided to formalize the discipline by enrolling in Art Center College of Design. With one year to go before graduating, Lau augmented her studies by joining the EFP program to prepare for running her own design firm. Here, she lends her creative flair to designing campaigns that positions Space an attractive place.
